The preferred anti-virus software that the library uses is McAfee VirusScan 7.1. To find out if you are using this version right click on the red, white, and blue shield on the bottom right of your screen. Select About VirusScan Enterprise...
You will get a window about the software and in large bold letters at the top it should say VirusScan Enterprise 7.1. If you get this then you are running the latest software. If you are running an old version or need help finding out if you need to upgrade contact your local systems liaison or the systems office.
Update Your Anti-Virus Software
Updating your anti-virus software is easy! Just right click on the red, white, and blue shield on the bottom right of your screen. Select Update Now...
You should see a window like the one above. Several messages will scroll up in this window. The last one will say Updated Finished. You can then click on the Close button. Your virus software is now up-to-date.
