This state-of-the-art facility, currently under construction, contains 19,000 square feet of floor space. The "storage box" section, with its 380,000 cubic feet of storage space, has 304 shelving units, with 9,424 shelves in 8 rows. The capcity of the "box" is estimated at between 1,000,000 and 1,500,000 volumes.

The processing/shipping/receiving area is 3,700 square feet in size and includes 2 offices, 5 workstations, a loading dock, storage room, and book trucks. The preservation laboratory will cover another 2,300 square feet. The facility also includes a conference/research room, 2 smaller research rooms, a staff lounge, and a vehicle for delivering materials.

Full-time staff for the facility will include:

• Librarian for Preservation Services and Conservator
• Assistant Conservator
