In connection with the library's Modern American Fiction project, the library has recently acquired a major literary archive from the distinguished American novelist, Joseph Heller. The archive includes notes, drafts, typescripts, edited typescripts, and proofs, from the following of Mr. Heller's works: Something Happened (1974, 35 folders); Good as Gold (1979, 50 folders); God Knows (1984, 76 folders); No Laughing Matter (1986, 67 folders); Picture This (1986, 51 folders); and Closing Time (1996, 56 folders). In addition, there are folders of material relating to Heller's dramatization of Catch-22 and collaborative film treatments/screenplays. The archive is currently being processed for cataloguing.





This library is a congressionaly designated depository for U.S. government documents. Public access to the government documents collections is guaranteed by public law.
