The South Caroliniana Society Endowment Fund dates from the establishment of the University South Caroliniana Society in 1937. Dues from this support organization, and other income, are used primarily to acquire printed, visual, and manuscript materials for the South Caroliniana Library. In addition, funds are used to finance publications, including the biannual newsletter, Caroliniana Columns, and the annual report of acquisitions.
