Naming Opportunities

Naming opportunities are plentiful within the University Libraries. Spaces can be named for an appropriate gift. When funds are given for naming purposes, approximately 80% are utilized for permanent endowments while 20% are used for immediate capital expenditures to enhance the named area. In certain cases this may vary; details will be discussed thoroughly with the donor prior to any gift. A listing approved by the Gift Naming Opportunity Committee, which includes representation from the University of South Carolina Board of Trustees, is available from Carol Benfield, who may be reached directly by calling (803) 777-3142 or toll-free (888) 206-8241.
