Pay Warrants, 1932-1933, City of Charleston, S.C.
Four manuscripts, 18 February and 16 September 1932 and 15 April and 1 September 1933, Depression era pay warrants issued by the City of Charleston to employees of the Audit and Control Department, Fire Department, Police Department, and College of Charleston.
The pay warrants ranged from one dollar to ten dollars and accrued interest at an annual rate of four or five percent. The 16 September 1932 warrant was issued to Burnet R. Maybank as an employee of the Audit and Control Department.
