Pen: Editorial Cartoons from the Collections.
Often
providing biting commentary, editorial cartoons address issues ranging
from local to international matters. These cartoons are of great value
in illustrating key issues or events in our history and are among our
most popular holdings.
The
Acerbic Pen
highlights material from the
Walt
Lardner
and
Kate Salley Palmer collections at SCPC.

Established in 1991, South Carolina Political Collections (SCPC) collects, preserves, and encourages research in private papers documenting South Carolinians and their government at the national and state levels in the post-World War II era.
Our collections include records of South Carolina's leaders in Congress and the General Assembly, the state's political parties, and other individuals and organizations playing substantive roles in politics and government. Our oral history program supplements the collected documentary record.
