Keith E. Davis


Keith E. Davis Biographical Note:

Dr. Keith E. Davis came to the University of South Carolina in August 1973 as associate provost. He was named acting provost in March 1974 after provost William H. Patterson was elected president of the University. Davis officially assumed the position's duties that fall. A native of North Carolina with a Ph.D. in psychology from Duke University, Davis taught at Princeton, Colorado, and Rutgers universities before coming to USC. Davis resigned as provost in 1978 to return to teaching and research in the University's Psychology Department.
