Ashmore, Robert T.
Robert Ashmore represented South Carolina's 4th District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1953 to January 1969. Prior to his Congressional career, he served as Solicitor for the Greenville County Court, 1930-1934, and the 13th Circuit Court of South Carolina, 1936-1953. He also was involved, 1970-1985, with the South Carolina Appalachian Council of Governments, a voluntary organization of local governments in Upstate South Carolina counties.
