About the Department

The Research, Instruction and Reference department is the main information center for Thomas Cooper Library.  Our department’s primary function is to teach and promote the most effective methods of using the resources available to USC students, faculty, and staff.  If you have questions about how to find information or materials, please visit the Reference desk or select any of the options listed on the Research Resources page.

Turner, Jack
LIBR101 Coordinator

Research & Instruction

Jack Turner has been the Coordinator of the LIBR 101 program since September 2012, having previously served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the Unvieristy of South Carolina. Dr. Turner responsibilities include management of LIBR 101 instructors and providing student service support for the LIBR 101 course. In addition, he teaches several sections of the course online each semester.  Dr. Turner received his MA in Religious Studies from USC and his Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Wales in 2011.

Stacy serves as liaison to the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Earth and Ocean Sciences, Statistics, Physics and Astronomy, and to the College of Engineering and Computer Science.  She received an M.L.I.S. from the University of South Carolina and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Clemson University.
