  • Statistical Insight

    Our subscription includes US Federal statistical publications  (indexing coverage from 1973, full text from 2004 - ) and international statistical publications from the UN, EU, OECD, etc. (coverage begins in 1983 - ).

  • MathSciNet

    MathSciNet is based on the data in Mathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications, leading publications that catalog and review research literature in mathematics. 

  • Current Index to Statistics

    The Current Index to Statistics is a bibliographic index to publications in statistics and related fields.

  • Web of Science

    Indexes thousands of the most prestigious, high impact research journals in the world. Also has cited reference searching and ways to refine and analyze your search results. Includes three indexes: Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1975 to present), Social Sciences Citation Index (1900 to present), Science Citation Index Expanded (1899 to present). 

    Note:  Previously our subscription began social sciences coverage in 1956. Coverage now extends back to 1900 in the social sciences. 

    Besides the subject citation databases, the Web of Science Core Collection also includes: Book Citation Index (2005 to present), Conference Proceedings Citation Index (1990-present), Current Chemical Reactions, and Index Chemicus

  • American Mathematical Society - Electronic Journals

    All of the journals listed on this site are available full text to the USC-Columbia campus.

  • Dissertations and Theses

    Contains citations,abstracts and possibly full text for over 2 million dissertations and theses. The database accepts over 90 percent of doctoral dissertations in North America.

  • Google Scholar

    Search specifically for scholarly literature.  To access the full-text to which the University Libraries subscribes, from Google Scholar
    - Select Settings
    - Click Library Links then enter University of South Carolina
    - Select University of South Carolina - Columbia-USC - FullText@USC Columbia
    - Click Save

  • ICPSR: Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research

    The University of South Carolina is a member of the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR).  Members of the University community can create an account and access the ICPSR data archive of research in the social and behavioral sciences.  ICPSR hosts specialized collections of data in education, aging, criminal justice, substance abuse, terrorism, and other fields.

    Full-text of back issues of more than 100 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Issues are entered on-line after having been published for 2-5 years.

  • Oxford Reference

    Fully-indexed, cross-searchable database of over 100 dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press.

  • ScienceDirect

    Only those journals to which USC-Columbia subscribes are available full text. Strongest coverage in the sciences, but includes some business, humanities and social science journals.

  • SpringerLINK - Electronic Journals

    Only those journals to which USC-Columbia subscribes are available full text.
