  • Web of Science

    Indexes thousands of the most prestigious, high impact research journals in the world. Also has cited reference searching and ways to refine and analyze your search results. Includes three indexes: Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1975 to present), Social Sciences Citation Index (1956 to present), Science Citation Index Expanded (1899 to present). 

  • Dissertations and Theses

    Contains citations,abstracts and possibly full text for over 2 million dissertations and theses. The database accepts over 90 percent of doctoral dissertations in North America.

  • ScienceDirect

    Only those journals to which USC-Columbia subscribes are available full text. Strongest coverage in the sciences, but includes some business, humanities and social science journals.

  • JSTOR

    Full-text of back issues of more than 100 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Issues are entered on-line after having been published for 2-5 years.

    Covers all subject areas.  Has a mix of magazines and journals, including many that are peer-reviewed.

  • AGRICOLA - Agricultural Online Access

    Citations and abstracts for articles on all aspects of agriculture from 15th century to the present.

  • Annual Reviews

    Provides full-text access to critical review articles that synthesize the primary contributions in the areas of biomedical, physical, and social sciences.

  • Applied Science & Technology Source

    Covers a wide variety of applied science specialties—from acoustics and aeronautics, to neural networks and nuclear & civil engineering.

  • Conference Papers Index

    Conference Papers provides citations to papers and poster sessions presented at major scientific meetings around the world. Subject emphasis since 1995 has been in the life sciences, environmental sciences and the aquatic sciences, while older material also covers physics, engineering and materials science.

  • EIS: Digests of Environmental Impact Statements

    Covers the international technical literature on geology and geophysics.

  • GeoRef Preview

    Provides access to unedited, recently submitted references to geoscience publications. Each weekend, completed references are removed from the Preview database and transferred to GeoRef. New references are then added.

  • GeoScienceWorld

    Provides online access to core, peer-reviewed journals in the geosciences and is inter-operable with GeoRef.

    This database contains a structured vocabulary developed primarily for the field of art history, but with the potential for wide applications in related disciplines such as archeology, history and geography

    This freely accessible research database focuses on the relationship between human beings and the environment.

  • Hospitality and Tourism Complete

    Scholarly research and industry news relating to all areas of hospitality and tourism. U.S. and international sources.

  • International Security & Counter Terrorism Reference Center

    Offers information on virtually every dimension of security & counter-terrorism.

  • Project Muse

    Provides full-text access to a selection of prestigious humanities and social sciences journals.

  • Social Sciences Full Text

    Full-text articles from over 300 English-language journals and indexing for nearly 750 journals in the social sciences.
