    Major database for electrical engineering and computer science literature, featuring high-quality content from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Our subscription does not include fulltext access to everything in the database, but to content from IEEE journals, transactions, and magazines published since 1998.

    Does not include impact factors but you can find acceptance rates, manuscript guidelines, and review process information for journals.  Search by topic areas, words in journal name, acceptance rate, type of review process, or publisher.  Directories for the fields of:

  • NTIS (National Technical Information Service)

    Contains scientific, technical, engineering, and related business information produced by or for the U.S. government and complementary materials from international sources. It contains bibliographic citations for over 750,000 documents and links to full-text of documents on government web sites or documents under 20 pages.

  • Oxford Reference

    Fully-indexed, cross-searchable database of over 100 dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press.

  • PubMed-Medline (with USC links)

    Premier database of worldwide biomedical literature including research, clinical practice, administration, policy issues, and health care services.

  • Royal Society of Chemistry - Electronic Journals

    This platform provides full text access to all journal content from the Royal Society of Chemistry Publishing.

    Only those journals to which USC-Columbia subscribes are available full text. Strongest coverage in the sciences, but includes some business, humanities and social science journals.

    Provides access to the full Chemical Abstracts database with citations to the literature of chemistry and patents, as well as compound information including structure, chemical names, formulas, Registry Numbers and reaction information for organic and organometallic reactions - plus substructure and reaction searching.
