  • Book Review Digest Plus

    An index of reviews for both fiction and non-fiction books, with coverage back to 1983. Includes descriptive annotations, citations, review excerpts, book summaries, and more than 100,000 full-text reviews.

  • Book Review Digest Retro, 1905 - 1982

    Indexing back to volume 1 of Book Review Digest.  

    Early citations in the print volumes did not include the year of publication of the book reviewed.  Use the "limit by date" that searches year of the review rather than "By Date of Creation" once you do a search.

  • Children's Core Collection

    Covers fiction and nonfiction works, story collections, picture books and magazines recommended for readers in preschool through 6th grade.

  • Children's Literature Comprehensive Database

    Identifies children’s literature, (infant to young adult, fiction and non-fiction) by author, illustrator, subject, genre, age or grade level, language, Lexile Range and publisher. CLCD includes over 900,000 records of books and media, many including reviews.

  • Fiction Core Collection

    Features classic and contemporary works of fiction recommended for a general adult audience, written in or translated into English.

  • Graphic Novels Core Collection

    Selective annotated list of graphic novels that allows for searching by categories of grade level, editorial recommendations, and fiction/nonfiction/biography.


    Full-text of back issues of more than 100 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Issues are entered on-line after having been published for 2-5 years.

  • Middle and Junior High School Core Collection

    Searchable full text of articles from over 250 magazines as far back as 1994.  Indexing of over 450 periodicals as far back as 1983.

  • Readers' Guide Retrospective, 1890 - 1982

    Readers’ Guide Retrospective indexes the most popular general-interest magazines published in the United States.  

  • ScienceDirect

    Only those journals to which USC-Columbia subscribes are available full text. Strongest coverage in the sciences, but includes some business, humanities and social science journals.

  • Senior High Core Collection

    Selective list of books recommended for young people in grades 9 through 12.

    Indexes nearly 600 art periodicals.  

  • Bibliography of the History of Art

    The Getty provides access to the Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA) and to the Répertoire de la litterature de l'art (RILA) for no charge.  These citation  databases, searchable together, cover material on European and American visual arts from late antiquity to the present published between 1975 and 2007

  • Business Abstracts with Full Text

    Covers hundreds of international English-language business magazines and journals.

  • EconLit

    Covers the literature of economics from books, journals, and working papers.

  • Education Index Retrospective, 1929 - 1983

    Indexing to over 800 education periodicals.  

  • Entrepreneurial Studies Source

    Pulls together materials from periodicals, reference books, case studies, company profiles and videos.

  • Fuente Academica
