    This interdisciplinary database offers abstracts and citations to a wide range of research in biomedicine, biotechnology, zoology and ecology, and some aspects of agriculture and veterinary science.

  • ScienceDirect

    Only those journals to which USC-Columbia subscribes are available full text. Strongest coverage in the sciences, but includes some business, humanities and social science journals.

  • Web of Science

    Indexes thousands of the most prestigious, high impact research journals in the world. Also has cited reference searching and ways to refine and analyze your search results. Includes three indexes: Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1975 to present), Social Sciences Citation Index (1956 to present), Science Citation Index Expanded (1899 to present). 

  • Environmental Sciences and Pollution Management

    Abstracts and citations are drawn from over 1500 scientific journals and thousands of other sources including conference proceedings, environmental impact statements, reports, books and government publications.

  • Annual Reviews

    Provides full-text access to critical review articles that synthesize the primary contributions in the areas of biomedical, physical, and social sciences.

  • Biological and Agricultural Index Plus

    Broad coverage of science issues, with about 45 percent of the focus on agriculture

  • Birds of North America

    BNA Online provides comprehensive life histories for each of the 716+ species of birds breeding in the USA (including Hawaii) and Canada.

  • Dissertations and Theses

    Contains citations,abstracts and possibly full text for over 2 million dissertations and theses. The database accepts over 90 percent of doctoral dissertations in North America.

  • Historical Abstracts

    Covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) including world history, military history, women’s history, history of education, and more.

  • JSTOR

    Full-text of back issues of more than 100 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Issues are entered on-line after having been published for 2-5 years.
