    Covers all subject areas.  Has a mix of magazines and journals, including many that are peer-reviewed.

  • Annual Reviews

    This interdisciplinary database offers abstracts and citations to a wide range of research in biomedicine, biotechnology, zoology and ecology, and some aspects of agriculture and veterinary science.

    Does not include impact factors but you can find acceptance rates, manuscript guidelines, and review process information for journals.  Search by topic areas, words in journal name, acceptance rate, type of review process, or publisher.  Directories for the fields of:

It includes evidence summaries, evidence-based recommended practices, best practice information sheets, systematic reviews, consumer information sheets, systematic review protocols and technical reports.

  • LLBA - Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts

    Covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics.

  • Medline (OVID)

    Contains citations, with abstracts, to worldwide biomedical literature including research, clinical practice, administration, policy issues, and health care services.

  • Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print

    Combines two related reference works: Mental Measurements Yearbook and Tests in Print.

    Mental Measurements Yearbook (coverage is from Volume 9 forward, updated monthly) offers descriptive information and critical reviews of more than 2,000 commercially-available standardized English-language educational, personality, aptitude, neuropsychological, achievement and intelligence tests.  Earlier print volumes available in Thomas Cooper Library, Reference Z 5814 .P8 B932.

    Tests in Print is a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language. Volumes of Tests in Print from 1961 to present are also available in Thomas Cooper Library, Reference Z5814.E9 B8.

    In MICROMEDEX 2.0 you’ll find information on drugs including:  identification (by imprint code or description), interactions, comparisons, pricing, and IV compatibility.  You can also search for the toxicity of drugs, household products, chemicals and other substances.

     Click on Care Notes System for easy-to-understand information written for lay people about aspects of patient care, medications, and health.

  • OECD iLibrary [Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development] 1997-2013

    The online library of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. We have access to content from 1997-2013 only unless current title is open access.  Best known for its publications and its statistics, the OECD’s work covers economic and social issues from macroeconomics, to trade, education, development, science and innovation.

  • Physical Education Index

    Subject areas covered include: physical education curricula, sports medicine, dance, sport law, kinesiology, motor learning, recreation, standardized fitness tests, sports equipment, business and marketing, coaching and training, sport sociology/psychology, health education and physical therapy.

  • PILOTS Database

    The PILOTS (Published International Literature on Traumatic Stress) database covers the literature on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health sequelae of traumatic events.

  • PsycINFO

    Premier database for psychology and related disciplines such as medicine, psychiatry, education, social work, law, criminology, social science, and organizational behavior.

  • ScienceDirect

    Only those journals to which USC-Columbia subscribes are available full text. Strongest coverage in the sciences, but includes some business, humanities and social science journals.

  • SciFinder Web *Registration Required*

    Provides access to the full Chemical Abstracts database with citations to the literature of chemistry and patents, as well as compound information including structure, chemical names, formulas, Registry Numbers and reaction information for organic and organometallic reactions - plus substructure and reaction searching.
