Theodore, Nick A. (b. 1928)

Born in Greenville, SC, Theodore became interested in politics at a young age.   In 1963, he became the first Hellenic-American elected to the South Carolina State Legislature. This began a twenty-four year tenure in state government which culminated in his election as Lieutenant Governor (serving under Gov. Carroll Campbell from 1987 to 1995). He served in the House from 1963 to 1966 and 1970 to 1978 and in the Senate from 1967 to 1968 and 1981 to 1986.
