'Mural' re-uses LP covers

Jun 18, 2012 7:18 AM

It's the only place on campus where Beethoven shares wall space with The Muppets, West Side Story, and Bill Cosby.

“We covered a wall in the Music Library with old, duplicate LP covers,” said Ana Dubnjakovic, Head of the Music Library. It's a project that she and Music Library employees Jessica Harvey and Joe Henderson recently completed.

“There were some unsightly marks on the wall that we wanted to hide, so we used removable sticky tacks to put up the album covers,” she said. “Our students and faculty loved the result.”

The Music Library is located on the second floor of the School of Music, adjacent to the Koger Center. See the "music mural" for yourself during the library's summer hours: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday; closed Saturday; 3 - 5 p.m. Sunday.
