One Millionth Item Added to Annex

Feb 14, 2012 2:28 PM

The Library Annex received its one millionth item on December 14,  2011.   The one millionth item was Eastern European Economics, HC244.A1 E3 v.28 1989/90, from the Business Library collection.  The Library Annex, which is at 76 percent capacity, holds duplicate books, lesser-used books, print journal duplicates, films, semi-rare items, old phonograph records, microfilm, maps, portraits and even a few artifacts.

With the increase in the collections at the Library Annex, Nelson Rivera and his staff are making improvements for the comfort and convenience of onsite users.  WiFi is now available at the Annex.  Students and scholars using the extensive library collection held at the Annex can access the Internet while doing their work in the conference room or in one of the two research rooms. Another improvement for students and scholars is the addition of a 13-inch TV, VCR and DVD player, making it possible for users to view onsite videos and DVDs held at the Annex.
