iPad Checkout Program has launched

Jan 13, 2012 3:14 PM
Thomas Cooper Library has launched its iPad Checkout Program.

Student Government has partnered with Thomas Cooper Library to make 20 iPads available for checkout to students, staff and faculty. The iPads can be checked out from the library’s Technology Lounge desk on Level 5 during regular operating hours. The loan period is three days for students, and five days for faculty and staff.

The iPads have 16 gb of storage and are equipped with WiFi. They come preloaded with standard files and a wide range of applications for work and play. While users also may sync additional data and applications, all data will be wiped and replaced with the standard preloaded files and apps when the iPad is returned to the library.

USC Student Body President Joe Wright spearheaded this project in partnership with Marna Hostetler, Director of Thomas Cooper Library. It looks like an iPad, but the image at left is a poster created by Student Government to announce the program.
