CTE Workshop: Grading Schemas and Blackboard Grade Center

Thomas Cooper Library (Level 3 Multimedia Classroom)
Aug 24, 2011 3:00 PM - 4:30 AM

Do you use some combination of assignments, quizzes, projects, exams, or participation to grade your students? Do you use total points, percentages, or weighted averages for your grading? Have you had students in your classes ask you 'What's my grade so far?' or 'What do I need to do to make an A in the class?' Have you tried to use the Blackboard Grade Center but were not sure how it would work with your grading plan? This session will discuss several different ideas on how you can set up your grading strategy.  Then we’ll show you how to apply those ideas in the Blackboard Grade Center, making it work for you and even allowing you the flexibility to adjust your strategy during the semester if necessary, so that you won’t find yourself at the end of the semester having to calculate your grades by hand.

Please register for this event online at http://cte.sc.edu/workshops/grading/, by email cte@sc.edu, or phone 803-777-8322.
