Library Assists Lactation Support ProgramJul 14, 2011 3:13 PM
The Thomas Cooper Library has designated a room for USC nursing mothers to assist the Lactation Support Program sponsored by Healthy Carolina. The TCL Nursing Mothers Lounge is on Level 2 of the library. Directions to the room and the key to the room are available from the Healthy Carolina office at 1309 Blossom Street, (803) 777-4752, firstname.lastname@example.org . Funding for the Lactation Support Program came from Eat Smart Move More South Carolina.
When approached by Healthy Carolina, Marna Hostetler, Library Director, readily agreed that the library is a good central location for our new mothers. She found a room suitable for students, faculty and staff who need this service. Healthy Carolina had the room refurbished to their specifications. Other Nursing Mothers Lounges on Campus are located in:
Moore School of Business
Wardlaw School of Education
Public Health Research Center
Child Development and Research Center
The library is pleased to assist Healthy Carolina reach its goal of establishing lactation support and management services at the university.
