Politics on Film Festival continues this month with a free screening of Good Night, and Good Luck. The film, starring George Clooney, portrays the conflict between veteran radio and television journalist Edward R. Murrow and U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin, especially relating to the anti-Communist Senator's actions with the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Politics on Film Festival is a monthly event presented by South Carolina Political Collections. Each event offers a free screening of a film relating to government and politics, an introduction to the film, free pizza and soda for the first 25 guests, and discussion after the film’s conclusion. The screenings begin at 4:30 in the Hollings Library and are open to the public. Subsequent films will be shown the third Wednesday of February and March.
