Politics on Film Festival continues this month with a free screening of Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story. Boogie Man is about Lee Atwater, a blues-playing rogue whose rise from the South to Chairman of the GOP made him a political rock star.
Politics on Film Festival is a monthly event presented by South Carolina Political Collections. Each event will offer a free screening of a film relating to government and politics, an introduction to the film, free pizza and soda for the first 25 guests, and discussion after the film’s conclusion.
The screenings begin at 4:30 in the Hollings Library and are open to the public. Subsequent films will be shown the third Wednesday of January, February, and March.
