Stark Raven Mad: Discussion of Poe's Life and Works by Dr. Leon Jackson, Rutledge Chapel, 7:00 p.m.

Prof. Leon Jackson will explore connections to Poe's life and the mastery of his craft. Jackson is an associate professor of English at the University of South Carolina who specializes in early American and antebellum literature, and the history of the book and authorship. He has published several articles on Poe. With an exhibit of books by and about Edgar Allan Poe from Rare Books & Special Collections. The free event will take place in Rutledge Chapel on the USC campus. Rutledge Chapel is on the historic Horseshoe - the perfect location to imagine what it was like to live in the turbulent world of Poe. Free and open to all!More information
