We know inspiration, learning and discovery don’t always happen during library hours, so Thomas Cooper Library offers these easy-to-access online and onsite resources to help you make the most of your time — on your time.

The Thomas Cooper Library website is your 24/7 one-stop-shop for everything related to research, resources and expertise. Our catalog at makes searching, browsing and accessing a world of electronic resources — from articles, books, databases, digital collections, streaming movies and much more — easy, and on your time. 

Ask a Librarian
Getting answers is effortless with our Ask a Librarian online chat service. We’ve got librarians online during the summer Monday through Wednesday 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday noon to 4 p.m., and Sunday 2 to 6 p.m. Librarians will answer any questions you have about the library, research or resources. Technology Takeout
Thomas Cooper Library lends IPads and PC laptops to students for free. Visit the Cooper Technology Lounge on level 5 during business hours for a laptop loan so you can study, research or write when and where you want. Details are at Wireless networks and wireless printing is also available at the library.

Scan and Deliver
As a student, you may have figured out that not everything is online! That’s why Thomas Cooper Library offers Scan and Deliver. If you’d like a book chapter, journal article or other print item up to 50 pages long scanned and emailed to you at no cost, simply fill out the request at

Book a Librarian 
Through Book a Librarian, you can schedule a consultation with a subject matter, information and research expert — a librarian — for one-one-one, personalized help with projects, papers, and detailed research assignments. Summer consultations are always available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and can scheduled during evening hours based on staff availability. Visit any time day or night to make your request.

Book a Study Room
Everyone needs some space and some privacy. Thomas Cooper Library offers you both with a click. Visit to reserve a private study room, a large group study room or a collaborative technology room. You can book your space online at any time and up to two weeks in advance…great for making sure you’ve got space to prepare for midterms and finals.  

Book and Film Paging
If you’re short on time, click “Request” in the online library catalog at, and we’ll have your book or film waiting for you when you arrive. No more searching the stacks!
