Faculty who are linking to the library's subscription electronic journal articles from Blackboard will need to add a prefix to their URLs that will connect to the library's EZproxy server for off campus access. It is not recommended to link to specific indexes, as these links often change. Instead of linking to a specific index, please link to the Library's Electronic Resources page (http://www.sc.edu/library/er) from Blackboard.
The prefix is:
pallas2.tcl.sc.edu/login?url=

https://pallas2.tcl.sc.edu/login?url=http://www.jstor.org/
**If the prefix is not added to your URL your students will not be able to access these resources from off campus through BlackBoard. However, the students can still access them from on campus and they can always be accessed from off campus through the library's pages (http://www.sc.edu/library/ ).**
Additional information about the new Ezproxy remote access:
1. It is easy. You do not have to set up your browser at all anymore!
2. EZproxy is browser independent, so you can use any browser, even if you have a dial-up connection.
3. Authentication is the same (9 digit uscid and last name).
4. It has the newest encryption security publicly available.
