IBISWorld Industry Market Research Reports cover the structure of each industry (e.g., barriers to entry, levels of government assistance, import penetration); statistics; external sensitivities (typically macroeconomic and demographic factors that are out of the control of companies within each industry); and success factors (those factors such as vertical integration that are controllable by companies).
You can search (upper left on your screen) by NAICS 5-digit code, by name of industry, or by a word that appears in the report. Once you select a report, you can look at a section by choosing from the table of contents (left side) or you can download the whole report (bottom left side). There are nearly 700 reports written at the 5-digit NAICS code level. These reports are about 25 pages long and are updated every four months. United States industries are the focus of this database, but world analysis of selected global industries is being added. These world industry reports can be found in the Global Industry Research section.
Industry Market Research and Global Industry Research are the two sections of the database to which the University of South Carolina subscribes. Reports from the other sections of the database (Industry Risk Ratings, Industry Call Briefs. Company Research, Economic & Demographic Data) are only available through individual purchase.
