The Educational Film Collection at Thomas Cooper Library houses and circulates an extensive collection of videotapes, 16mm films, and DVDs for classroom and educational uses. This collection includes materials suitable for many subject areas, including Anthropology, Humanities, History, Film Studies, Psychology, Sociology, English, Business, etc. The Educational Films staff is available to take reservation requests, check out films, and help our patrons choose films that fit their educational needs.

Educational Films Database
The Educational Films Database was created to provide a method for film patrons to search for films by genre, production date and director. It includes film-specific genres such as “Feature Documentary”, “Academy Award Winner” and “Comedy”.

- Browse entire collection by clicking on “Film Title Index,” or
- Perform search by title, genre, date, director, language, or series.
- Results can be sorted in ascending order by call number, title, format, or release year, by clicking on the appropriate column header.
- Click on the desired title to obtain basic information on that film.
- Additional information on holdings, such as producer, running time, and summary, can be found by clicking through to the catalog record.
