Faculty Checkout
USC Faculty may check out videos, 16mm films, and DVDs for face-to-face classroom use or research or personal education purposes only. The check-out period is three business days. Advance reservations are welcomed. If we do not currently own a film you wish to use in a class, we can investigate purchasing the film.
Staff Checkout
University of South Carolina staff members may check out a video or DVD for a period of two days during film library hours of operation only. Staff members should personally pick up and return the films at Thomas Cooper Library. They will be asked to present their USC ID card upon check out. Late films are $1.00 per day.
Student Checkout
Students may check out one film for a period of two days during film library hours of operation only. Students should personally pick up and return the films at Thomas Cooper Library. They will be asked to present their USC ID card upon check out. Late films are $1.00 per day.
In-House Viewing
Thomas Cooper Library houses ample viewing facilities for USC faculty, staff, and students who wish to view or preview films from the Educational Films Collection. Faculty are welcome to reserve a viewing room for classes of up to eight people.
