SCPC’s Politics on Film Festival has reached its midway point. This fall, about 80 people enjoyed City Hall (featuring Fritz Hollings!), Ken Burns’ The Congress, and All the King’s Men (basically the story of Huey Long), 1949 Best Picture winner at the Oscars. Next spring, we’ll show 3 more movies and announce them on our blog as they get closer.
As promised, we drew someone’s name out of the hat Tues. night as the winner of a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card. Attendees that took the time to fill out a comment card at any or all of the 3 fall movies had a chance to win. The winner two nights ago? Mark Van Driel! He is a PhD student in History here at USC and is shown here claiming his prize. We’ll have another drawing at the close of the Film Festival next March.
