I did get a kick out of just reading it! I'm a wedding DJ from Switzerland. Can you believe, that I would be out of a job, if dancing in public or having music at a wedding would never happend? Thank you for sharing it, this is so much fun to read.

Hi Anna,
The South Caroliniana Library here at the University of South Carolina has microfilm holdings that you may come in and view on the following Bamberg County newspaper titles:
The Bamberg herald (1899-1972)
The advertiser (1967-1972)
The advertiser-herald (1972-1984).

See the South Caroliniana's homepage for more info, http://library.sc.edu/socar/index.html

Hope this helps!

Hi

My particular interest is in reading the papers from Bamberg, SC for mentions and obituaries of various family members. My grandmothers were both subscribers and I grew up reading it when I was at their houses. I thought I would have to go down to Bamberg and read what the Bamberg Advertiser Herald has on microfilm. Is it possible to do this in Columbia instead? My email is onewally@aol.com.

thanks!
