In continuing partnership with the Trenholm Artists guild and the School of Music’s (SOM) Southern Exposure New Music Series, the Music Library is excited to be hosting an exhibit of the works of artist Ian Cage.

In his artist’s statement Cage describes his interests as residing “in abstraction and the visual elements of language; exploring energy in color, form and symbol.” Cage has created 12 new 30″ x 30″ works using acrylic, graphite, and polymer on canvas, each work inspired by the four world premiere pieces by composers Reginald Bain, Jesse Jones, Christopher Stark, and Cameron Britt that will be featured in this Friday’s Southern Exposure concert.

Ian Cage’s works can be viewed in the Music Library before the concert and next to the School of Music Recital Hall during the concert on Friday, January 29 at 7:30 PM.
