Trouble printing articles from Harvard Business Review?

Harvard Business Publishing decided that 500 articles from Harvard Business Review will be read only in Business Source Complete. The pdf of these cannot be printed or downloaded.

How can you tell?

When you click on the detailed record, there is a message at the top stating “The publisher offers limited access to this article. The full text cannot be printed or saved.”

If you go straight into the PDF from results you won’t see the message, but you will notice that the printer icon is grayed out in Internet Explorer or Chrome. If you try to print from Firefox, the text will be scrambled in some parts. Do not waste your money trying to print.

If you miss that message and click on either print or save from Tools, there is another message at the right stating “The full text for selected articles from this publisher cannot be printed/saved.”
