"Ask a Librarian" reference services are available to anyone. However, in responding to questions, first priority will be given to USC students, faculty and staff.
When submitting questions via e-mail, you may expect a reply within 24 hours during the week. Librarians will check the e-mail account daily, Monday through Friday, excluding University holidays.
Response time is always related to the complexity of the question; in some cases we may ask for more information or question clarification.
Complex questions and questions involving extensive research are beyond the scope of these services. If your question requires more in-depth research please come to the library where we can assist you.
